Description   Like all of the Original Six NHL teams, the Boston Bruins produced very few yearbooks/media guides prior to the 1960's - two in the early years of the franchise (1926-27 & 1927-28), then two more 20 years later (1946-47 & 1947-48), and nothing again for three seasons. Then in 1951-52 the team published, in apparently very limited distribution, a 45 page "Sketch Book"; containing detailed player profiles, photos, statistics, team history, schedules, etc., and it would begin a run of Bruins yearbooks (in various forms) that continues today. The 1951-52 Boston team included a number of young players & rookies mixed with several veterans, including future Hall of Famers Milt Schmidt, Woody Dumart and Bill Quakenbush. A rarely seen item, the offered yearbook must be among the finest copies in existence - it is in pristine, un-marked, un-used condition - a gem.
