Description You are bidding on this EXTREMELY RARE original PRESSPACK for the WORLD MIDDLEWIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP, between JAKE LA MOTTA and SUGAR RAY ROBINSON, which was held at Chicago Stadium, on 14th February 1951. Almost a unique item, as I cannot image many have survived over the years. The International Boxing Club iszsue comprises yellow/blue outer card covers (see front cover & back cover scans). The front is highly decorative and attractive, with the back cover including photos of both fighters and career details etc. Contained inside are 34 (thirty four) original press sheets, produced to cover the fight, an example of which has also been scanned. Some sheets have been stapled together - others are loose. Pages include full fight cards, facts/figures, tale of the tapes, History of La Motta-Robinson series, complete fight records of both boxers, History of World Middleweight Championship etc. A VERY RARE issue, which is complete. Sheets are in superb clean un-marked condition. Outer card covers are intact with only minimal wearb & tear - slight splitting to edge of spine and base, with some very minor blemishes/nicks.
