Item: This is an original 1959 Phillies team issued jersey.  Made by Wilson in a wool  material with chain stitch logos.  Dated 1959 next the Wilson  badge.  Had a player name sewn on the inside collar but that has come undone and I can not make out the name.  We are a vintage clothing (retail/wholesale) company and this was brought to us by one of our pickers.  I have no history on the jersey.  It is my understanding from talking to a few local sports collectors that this jersey may have been used by the Phillies or the Phillies minor team.   A search on the baseball-almanac.com shows Harry Hanebrink wore #20 for the Phillies in 1959.  This is just general information available on the web... I have included another photo of Bob Bowman from 1959 shown wearing what looks like the exact same jersey.
