Photo by John Bellucci Jeanne Mirabito with Our Mims Not familiar with Our Mims? Our Mims was the 1977 Eclipse Champion Three-Year-Old Filly. She raced in 1977 and 1978 and was retired to Calumet's broodmare band after an injury sustained in her last race. Probably her best know offspring are Slewvescent (by Seattle Slew) and Mimbet (by Raise A Native). When Calumet's horses were dispersed in 1991, Our Mims was also sold. Jeanne adopted Mims through ReRun and brought the mare to her own farm. Mims lived out her life surrounded by love, fans, and peppermints while "working" (making appearances) as a ReRun representative. Our Mims succumbed to colic on December 9th, 2003 at the age of 29. She was laid to rest at Calumet. Photo by John Bellucci Our Mims at ReRun All Thoroughbred Charity Show Turfway in May, 2002 Auction Particulars: Payment must be made within 7 days of auction end.
