Rare vintage bronze boxing plaque depicting famous French boxer Marcel CERDAN + original 1949 French book on his life and fights !!!Boxing plaque is in very good condition !!!4.3 x 2.1 inches (11,5 x 5,5 cm.), heavy (approx. 170 g.)This plaque is a French Boxing Federation (F.F.B.) award from the early 50's. It is hand-engraved on back (see photo). Marcel CERDAN is depicted in his traditional boxing pose.Marcel CERDAN, aka. The Casablanca Clouter, is the most famous French boxer ever. He won the middleweight boxing world title by knocking out Tony ZALE in 1948. He is also known for his love affair with worldwide famous French singer Edith PIAF.
