Description
Up for auction is a Truly Unique Album containing an Extremely Rare GOLD FOIL Golf Card  Set of "The Masters Champions".   This set includes all of the Masters winners from Horton Smith's 1934 win through to Tiger Wood's 1997 unbelievable win in the GOLD FOIL format .    Most of the offerings here on EBAY which include the black box, gold box, and even the Tiltleist Tiffany sets are in the less appealing GOLD INK format and not GOLD FOIL.This set was produced by Grand Slam Ventures which closed their door in the late 1990's (note that the Masters was not played from 1943 to 1945).   This collection is really neat as the 1934 to 1964 winners were produced in black and white and from 1965 on were full colored photos which shows the amount of thought that went into the development of this set since colored TV came about in the 1960's.   In the album are 6 Jack Nicklaus,  4 Arnold Palmer, 3 Nick Faldo, 3 Sam Snead, 3 Gary Player, 3 Jimmy Demaret, and the list goes on and on with over 60 golf cards ending with Tiger's famous record setting 1997 win.   The album itself is also a unique piece made by Grand Slam Ventures back in the 1990's for TITLEIST to accommodate this set.   It is titled "CHAMPIONS OF GOLF...... THE MASTERS COLLECTION" which, along with a golfer in a finished swing pose is silk-screened in GOLD FOIL on the album cover (see photo).  The golfer is also silk-screened on the end of the album for ease in identifying in a bookcase.      Here is your opportunity to own a beautifully prepared historic work of art that probably will not ever be produced in this format based on liscensing fees.   The added value is the fact that most manufacturers limited their printings based on estimated demand and you would be hard pressed to find any of the Large Trading Card Manufacturers who would consider producing Golf Cards of this quality in todays market.  GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!     I am a collector of Golf Cards, Scotty Cameron Putters, Nike, Callaway, Ping and Titleist Memorabilia.
