Description
Muhammad Ali was, is and forever will be known among boxing enthusiasts, and the world over, as "GOAT" -- "The Greatest of All Time." Born Cassius Marcellus Clay, Jr. on January 17, 1942, in Louisville, Kentucky, the "Louisville Lip" fought his way to a gold medal in the 1960 Olympics as a light heavyweight. During the course of his 21-year-long career, which ran from 10/29/60 to 12/11/81, he amassed 56 wins, 37 of them by way of knockout, with just five losses. By the time his illustrious career ended, he was the most well-known athlete in the world and, quite possibly, the best loved. However, Ali wasn't just America's finest heavyweight boxer; he was also one of the nation's most intriguing, controversial and beloved figures, as famous for his memorable sayings ("Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee;" "They all fall/in the round I call") and his political views as he was for his ability to conquer the likes of Archie Moore, Sonny Liston, Floyd Patterson, Ken Norton, Joe Frazier and George Foreman. Muhammad Ali has hand signed the left glove in this set of two red Everlast boxing gloves. A handsome acrylic display case with an engraved plaque, is included. Insurance is required with this item. This Item is sold as found no returns. Paypal is preferred. No International shipping.
