It is made of metal and Brass, wood, leather, the centre rod is metal and the 2 legs are wooden. It has a 'clip' on the bottom, but would a small canvas bag have been attached there, if so, where would the top have come and how would it have been attached on the rod  ? The top is narrow across the 2 aluminium '(?) shoulders, approx. 2.75''.    Signed, '' Manufactured by ''B. D & Co''   Edward A Boynton London'' and ''British Made''. Legs have ''Patent Applied For'', stamped on one. Is it 1920's?  It has been used, however, with slight restoration it could look great. Brass cleaned and paint touched up, wood could just do with a clean, or a varnish if required. iron at top is rusty and leather needs re attaching. I have made it sound worse than it is. No serious damage to it ..ie splits cracks etc. Would be good addition to any golf collection.    Nice thing with a low start and no reserve.
