This item from an era-gone-by was given to all ladies entering the racetrack on specified days in 1934. Aksarben is no longer there but its rich history will live on forever. This jockey hat pin is made of leather and hand-painted, the top of the bill is inscribed with AK•SAR•BEN, the backside of bill says "MADE IN USA". I have a few of these jockey hats and since they are all hand done they vary in exactness-each one is unique, they all are the same coloring.
